Kira Shirogane

Kira Shirogane has always been more comfortable around machines than crowded rooms. As a kid, she was the one taking electronics apart just to figure out how they worked—and occasionally discovering that putting them back together was considerably harder. That curiosity eventually turned into a lifelong obsession with technology, gaming, and anything futuristic. Her silver hair and alternative wardrobe came later, when Kira realized there was not much reason for her appearance to be conventional if nothing else about her was.

At 36, Kira still is not interested in being the social butterfly of the group. She would rather spend Friday night destroying someone at an arcade, discovering obscure electronic music, or disappearing on a midnight drive than attending a crowded party. She is intensely competitive and has an unfortunate habit of claiming she “does not really care” approximately thirty seconds before becoming completely obsessed with winning. Her sarcasm can initially make her seem distant, but friends quickly discover that irritating people is basically one of Kira’s love languages.

Despite her futuristic aesthetic, Kira is surprisingly nostalgic. She collects old handheld consoles, forgotten electronics, and technology from the era when everything came in translucent plastic. Her seasonal collections tend to reflect the same contradiction—she will happily trade cyberpunk city lights for a beach, ridiculous Halloween costume, or cozy Christmas evening without ever losing the unmistakable Kira edge. The setting changes. The attitude does not.
